Obiturary: John A Goshorn, 45, RFD 2, Montpelier, died at his residence Tuesday morning, Jan 16, 1990, after a nine month illness.
Born Oct 15, 1944, at Angola Ind, he was the son of Donna (Briner) and Donald Goshorn.
He had been a lifelong Montpelier area resident and was chief operator at the Montpelier water plant.
A 1962 Montpelier High School graduate, Mr Goshorn had served in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the West Eagle Creek Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder and a member of the board of session, and had served 13 years as church treasurer.
On Aug 12, 1973 he married Patricia Bean at Findlay, and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Aaron Thomas and David Allen, both at home; a daughter, Virginia Sue, at home; his mother, of RFD 2, Montpelier; two sisters, Mrs Spencer (Sue) Meloun of RFD 1, Montpelier, and Mrs Robert (Ellen) Lawson of Hinckley. His father preceded him in death in June 1974.
Services will be at 1pm Friday in the West Eagle Creek Presbyterian Church with the Rev David Weber officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Montpellier.
Friends may call in the Wilson-Geesey Funeral Home, Montpelier, from 7 to 9pm Wednesday and 2 to 4pm Thursday. Preferred memorials are to Hospice Care of Williams County or the West Eagle Creek Presbyterian Church.
